Where is best place to live in UK for people who hate sunshine weather? Where is most cloudy/glum weather in UK in all over the year?
But seriously! No answers like "everywhere" please! I think about place in UK similar to Seattle in US. Place where you can see cloudy sky at least 300 days in year, even in summer. When sun is REALLY rare thing to see.
The Shetlands which are islands even further North than the Orkneys.
Recently Fair Isle was advertising for people.
Otherwise Aberdeen, Scotland is great.

Blaenau Festiniog, North Wales. Because of the location & proximity to nearby mountains it ’sucks in’ the clouds and consequently rains almost all the time.

The Lake District in North West England is the cloudiest, wettest area-towns like Kendal, Windermere, Penrith. Rainfall there is about 80 inches annually compared with 25 inches in southern England

My preference is Scarborough in North Yorkshire.
Why?
Because we have all the best of everything here. We have arts, culture, traditional seaside, music, pubs - everything you might want. But the best news for someone who doesn’t like the sun is that even when the rest of the county is bright and sunny, the area around the sea (about 5 miles) often has what is known as the "sea fret".
It’s a sort of fog that comes in off the sea and eventually clears a few miles inland.
I know it well because I live about 20 yards from the sea.
Having said that, if you fancy a day in the sun, you can just jump in the car and go inland to Malton, York, Leeds, Pickering, Northallerton, Thirsk, up to the Moors, Heartbeat country or James Herriot country and you can find the sun hiding there!

Borrowdale Valley in the Lake District has the reputation of having the highest rainfall in England - about 180 inches a year! - as well as being very wet it is also very beautiful - And Prince Charles loves it there! - stays in a little guest house a couple of times a year - It is near Keswick which is a nice place ruined - known as the Blackpool of the Lakes to us locals
