Honestly, because we make it possible for them. Don’t get me wrong, I fully understand the need to balance capitalism with socialism to produce the strongest possible economy and best environment… but without a strong USA to militarily keep the world at some semblance of peace, many of these nations would be spending on their military, not their quality of life.
