Divas concert - 1999

Lyrics:

I call you when I need you,
my heart’s on fire
You come to me,come to me wild and wild
When you come to me
Give me everything I need

Give me a lifetime of promises and a world of dreams
Speak a language of love like
you know what it means
And it can’t be wrong
Take my heart and make it strong baby

You’re simply the best, better than all the rest
Better than anyone, anyone I’ve ever met
I’m stuck on your heart,
and hang on every word you say
Tear us apart,
Baby I would rather be dead

In your heart I see the star
of every night and every day
In your eyes I get lost,I get washed away
Just as long as I’m here in your arms
I could be in no better place

You’re simply the best, better than all the rest
Better than anyone, anyone I’ve ever met
I’m stuck on your heart,
and hang on every word you say
Tear us apart,no,no,
Baby I would rather be dead

Each time you leave me I start losing control
You’re walking away with my heart and my soul
I can feel you even when I’m alone
Oh baby,don’t let go

You’re simply the best, better than all the rest
Better than anyone, anyone I’ve ever met
I’m stuck on your heart,
and hang on every word you say
Tear us apart,no,no
Baby I wold rather be dead

Oh!You’re the best!

I am looking for a website that categorizes the best places to live and lists population, median incomes, cost of living, school system ratings, etc.

I like this site. Lots of info on each city. Give it a try!

My gay friend is looking to move to a place that is more accepting of gays, because he is having a hard time being himself in his hometown because of discrimination against gays and lesbians. He is also having a hard time finding gay men to date. He is looking to relocate and I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the best gay places to live?

I’m sure lots of people are suggesting San Francisco and/or Manhattan, but those are very expensive places to live. So, your friend would need to bring a sizable bankroll to live on while he searched for work.

I’m in San Diego, but I don’t like the so-called gay community here. Lots of drag queens and egomaniacs.

I’ve been very impressed with Seattle — it has a thriving gay community, plus a lot of non-gay elements that are wonderful. Lots of rain, though.

There’s a very strong gay community in West Hollywood, but it also strikes me as having a lot of shallow people as well.

Your friend should check out the website for The Advocate — I’m sure they’ve done at least one article in the past couple of years about the best and worst places to live.

I’m going to be a foreign exchange student next year to Ireland, and I was just wondering what the best/funnest/social/safest places to live are. Thanks!

A South Dublin suburb like Bray. Great shops, friendly people etc.
I would say Bray, Graystones or Dun Laoighre. Probably better to go with Bray or Dun Laoighre. You’re close to Dublin with easy access, but still far away enough that you can relax without getting caught up in inner city life. There are buses, trains (DART) and the Luas Line. Also, great shopping centre in Dundrum!!

Home is where I want to be
Pick me up and turn me round
I feel numb - born with a weak heart
I guess I must be having fun
The less we say about it the better
Make it up as we go along
Feet on the ground
Head in the sky
It’s ok I know nothing’s wrong . . nothing

Hi yo I got plenty of time
Hi yo you got light in your eyes
And you’re standing here beside me
I love the passing of time
Never for money
Always for love
Cover up and say goodnight . . . say goodnight

Home - is where I want to be
But I guess I’m already there
I come home - she lifted up her wings
Guess that this must be the place
I can’t tell one from another
Did I find you, or you find me?
There was a time Before we were born
If someone asks, this is where I’ll be . . . where I’ll be

Hi yo We drift in and out
Hi yo sing into my mouth
Out of all those kinds of people
You got a face with a view
I’m just an animal looking for a home
Share the same space for a minute or two
And you love me till my heart stops
Love me till I’m dead
Eyes that light up, eyes look through you
Cover up the blank spots
Hit me on the head Ah ooh

I’m debating a job opportunity in Brandon, FL. My husband & I are active (bicycling, rollerblading, dining out, culture) 35 year olds & are wondering where some of the best places to live in the area are.

I have heard that Ybor City is the best up and coming area around Tampa.

Hope to be moving soon and would love some feedback as to where people thinks the best places are to live and why?

The main stereotypical "bad" parts of town are Cole Harbour and Spryfield, but not everyone would agree. Bedford is a good area - it’s where a lot of middle-class "professionals" live and a very low crime rate. Clayton Park is closer and is also a good area, especially for apartments, very culturally diverse if that’s your cup of tea. I think your best bet is to find something with a 1 yr (or less) lease and get to know the city for yourself and what appeals to you. Every region of Halifax has its ups and downs - the North End has a big concentration of University students, so you might want to avoid living in that area. Here’s a website that has some limited info on certain neighbourhoods:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halifax,_Nova_Scotia_(former_city)

And here’s another great site to determine commuting times b/w different areas and downtown Halifax:
http://www.sandyhines.com/commute.htm

There is also a settlement association you might want to contact:
http://www.misa.ns.ca/services.htm
I think they mainly focus on immigrants who have language barriers, but I’m sure they could be of use to any immigrant.

Good luck to you! And if you’re moving in the winter, make sure to pack lots of woollies ;-)
